Here is my guide on how to tame a crystal wyvern on ark survival evolved. This guide will help all newbie players starting out and it will teach everyone how to tame your first Crystal wyvern. I’ve been an ark player for to long and I never quit. This guide is simple and easy to understand.

You will need to following.
If your just starting out on an official server you need to think about location. You will need to be able to make metal tools and have everything you need to tame a crystal wyvern. There are 3 types of crystal wyverns, Blood, tropical and ember. Bloods and Embers are hard to obtain depending on your build location. If your set up and ready to go there found mostly in the middle of the map. Tropical wyverns are the easiest to find in the west south section of the map.

- Sleeping bags.
- Stat to have 300 weight (For 200 crystal) Depending on 2x, events and taming boost on your server it will be less needed.
Now lets go into details on how to tame a crystal wyvern on crystal isles.
We will start with the newbie crystal wyvern, the tropical wyvern. There very easy to find in the south west section of the map. You will see them flying around. If you are on foot, you need a raft with a bed or sleeping bags. Watch out for leeds, they tend to be in the waters as you go searching for them. Avoid deep water to dodge the raft killer leeds.
Once you find the wyvern, you will need to climb up its back and get behind the head. Lay down and feed the wyvern. Once you feed the wyvern, you will be on his back for over 30 mins to 2hrs depending on your rates and the level of the wyvern.
You will fall off the wyvern if your not placed correctly on his back. Sometimes lag will also throw you off the back of the wyvern as well. Once tamed you can fly to your base. Always remember to know your location on the map.
If your looking for perfect tame crystal wyvern you will need to make a wyvern trap and trap females for prime crystals. You will be able to tame a perfect tame wyvern in trap as well. Of course it a bit more work, but its something you do when you get to breeding crystal wyverns or want colored event ones.
How to tame a crystal wyvern 101.
Building a wyvern trap is very easy with stone, you can use 30 stone foundations, 1 behemoth complete, with many door frames and of course stone ceilings. Crystal wyverns don’t destroy stone so its pretty easy to make a trap. The trap needs to be as tall as the behemoth to make sure the wyvern will fit when its trapped. Do not leave the wyvern in the cage outside of render.
It will get out if you have no one to have it in render view. Once trapped you will need to knock it out for the prime crystals or if your taming it, you need to lose its argo. You can do this by having a tribe mate stand near the wyvern or trap it for you. Once the tribe mate dies by the wyvern or leaves render it will lose argo. Often they don’t but this is ark we are talking about.
