NES legend of zelda dungeon 5 Walkthrough
This is a walkthrough for the dungeon 5 on legend of zelda the NES version. Find out how to get to the dungeon 5 through this guide.
To reach Dungeon 5 in The Legend of Zelda, follow these steps:
- Obtain the Raft: Before you can access Dungeon 5, you need to acquire the Raft. The Raft is located in Dungeon 4. If you haven’t already obtained it, head to Dungeon 4 and find the room with the Old Man. Defeat the enemies in that room, and the Old Man will give you the Raft.
- Locate the Hidden Entrance: Once you have the Raft, head to the eastern side of the map, near the coast. Look for a body of water with a dock. Use the Raft while standing on the dock to sail across the water.
- Find the Hidden Path: After using the Raft, you’ll be on a new screen. Move upwards until you see a gap in the rocks on the left side of the screen. Walk into this gap, and you’ll discover a hidden path.
- Traverse the Forest: Follow the hidden path through the forest. Be cautious of enemies along the way. The path will eventually lead you to the entrance of Dungeon 5.
Here’s a walkthrough for Dungeon 5 in the original NES game “The Legend of Zelda”:
- Enter Dungeon 5: Start by locating Dungeon 5 on the overworld map. It is typically found in the northeastern section of the map. Enter the dungeon.
- Obtain the Dungeon Map: Proceed through the first room and defeat the enemies if necessary. In the next room, you’ll find the Dungeon Map. Pick it up to reveal the layout of the dungeon.
- Navigate the rooms: Explore the dungeon, defeating enemies and collecting keys and rupees along the way. Be mindful of traps and hidden passages.
- Acquire the Compass: As you progress deeper into the dungeon, you’ll come across a room with multiple staircases. Take the staircase on the right, defeat the enemies, and grab the Compass.
- Defeat the Mini-Boss: In one of the subsequent rooms, you’ll encounter a mini-boss named Gohma. Use your sword to attack its weak point, which is its eye. After defeating Gohma, proceed to the next room.
- Obtain the Stepladder: In the room after defeating Gohma, you’ll find a locked door. Use a key to unlock it and enter the room. Inside, you’ll discover the Stepladder, which allows you to cross small gaps.
- Access the boss room: Continue exploring the dungeon, using the Stepladder to cross any gaps. As you progress, you’ll come across a room with locked doors and several enemies. Defeat them and proceed through the locked door.
- Defeat Digdogger: The boss of Dungeon 5 is Digdogger, a large creature that spins and splits into smaller versions. Use your sword to attack the main body when it stops spinning. Bombs are also effective against it. Defeat Digdogger to receive a Heart Container.
- Claim the Triforce Shard: After defeating Digdogger, the room will change, and a Triforce shard will appear. Walk up to it to collect it and complete Dungeon 5.
Remember to use your resources wisely, such as bombs and keys, and be prepared with potions or fairies to replenish your health if needed. Good luck on your journey through the land of Hyrule!
