The First Descendant Season 3, titled “Breakthrough,” is set to launch on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Major Content Additions:

New Massive Field: Axion Plains: A vast, new battlefield that was once an outpost, now devastated by a Void Storm and overrun by Colossus. It will feature new threats from both artificial creatures and mutated beasts.
New Vehicle: Hover Bike: A new vehicle system for high-speed travel across the massive Axion Plains. Players will be able to obtain a standard Hover Bike just by logging in during Season 3, with enhanced “Accelerated” and “Boosted” models available through exploration. These can be upgraded for dynamic movement.
New Content: Colossus Field Raid: An eight-player raid featuring the massive “Wall Crasher” boss. This boss unleashes shockwaves, wide-range strikes, and AoE attacks, requiring strategic team formation. Players can even use their Hover Bikes during the battle.
New Feature: Lounge: A dedicated social space where players can interact with their Descendants, customize their appearances with skins, and decorate with furniture and collectibles like Colotoys.
New Descendant: Nell: A former NPC, Nell joins the playable roster with a new look and unique telekinetic abilities. She can throw spheres that debuff enemies and pull nearby foes, and can convert her gunshots into weak point strikes, making her suitable for aggressive playstyles.
New Ultimate: Ultimate Luna: Two new Transcendent Modules are being prepared for Ultimate Luna, offering different playstyle shifts focused on firearms or enhancing her rhythm-based abilities and debuffing potential.
NieR: Automata Crossover: Iconic protagonists 2B and A2 from NieR: Automata will be joining the roster of playable Descendants, lending their likenesses and animations.

Other Details:

Season 3 Demo: A demo for Season 3 was made available from July 24 to August 7, 2025, allowing players to experience some of the new content, including playing as Nell, exploring Axion Plains, and confronting the Wall Crasher.
Pre-registration: Pre-registration for the update offers in-game rewards such as a Descendant Selection Box, a special title, and milestone bonuses.
First Anniversary Celebration: The game celebrated its first anniversary with “Descendant Fest 2025” on July 2, where more information about Season 3 and the future roadmap was revealed.
