PS Plus Extra & Premium February 2026: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Leads Huge Update
After over two years of waiting, Peter Parker and Miles Morales are officially swinging onto the Game Catalog starting February 17, 2026. If you haven’t played this yet, you’re looking at roughly 87 GB of pure PS5 spectacle.+1
- Why it’s a “Boss” addition: It’s rare for Sony to put a major first-party sequel of this caliber on the service while it’s still retailing for a premium price. With the PC port having launched just last year (January 2025), this move is clearly aimed at keeping players in the ecosystem ahead of more Marvel’s Wolverine news.
- Pro-Tip: Make sure you have at least 90 GB free. The SSD-loading speeds in this game are legendary—no fast travel loading screens, just pure momentum.
🏎️ The “Everything Else” Lineup
While Spidey is the face of the update, the supporting cast for February 17 is surprisingly diverse:
- Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown: The open-world MMO racer finally hits the catalog. If you’ve been craving a Forza Horizon vibe on PlayStation, this 1:1 recreation of Hong Kong Island is your best bet.
- Neva: From the creators of GRIS. It’s a stunning, emotional action-adventure featuring a wolf companion. Warning: Prepare to cry.
- Monster Hunter Stories 1 & 2: Sony is clearly prepping everyone for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection (releasing next month). These are turn-based RPGs, so they’re much more “Pokemon” than “Dark Souls.”
- Venba: A short, beautiful narrative game about cooking and family. You can finish it in an afternoon—perfect for a “palate cleanser” between Spidey missions.
🏛️ For the Classics (Premium Only)
If you’re on the Premium tier, you’re getting a hit of 2008 nostalgia:
- Disney Pixar’s Wall-E (PS2): It’s the Asobo Studio version. Surprisingly fun platforming, but mainly for the trophy hunters and the “retro” vibes.
- State of Play Tease: Sony also confirmed Tekken: Dark Resurrection (March) and the original Time Crisis (May) are coming later this spring.
⚠️ The Trade-Off: Games Leaving Feb 17
To make room for the Web-Heads, several games are being booted from the service tomorrow. You have less than 24 hours to finish:
- Cult of the Lamb (Highly recommended to play this ASAP!)
- WWE 2K25
- 7 other titles are also on the chopping block.
