PlayStation Plus December Drop: Your Holiday Gaming Haul is Here!
Sony closes out 2025 with a bang, bringing brick-based machines and co-op chaos to the Essential tier.
Happy first Tuesday of the month, PlayStation fans!
If you know, you know. It’s drop day.
December is always a crucial month for gaming services. We have holiday breaks coming up, new consoles being unwrapped, and plenty of free time to sink into a backlog. Sony needed to deliver a strong lineup to cap off 2025, and looking at what just went live on the PlayStation Store today, they definitely didn’t show up empty-handed.
Whether you are rocking a PS5 Pro or holding down the fort on a PS4, here is everything you need to know about your PlayStation Plus lineup for December 2025.
The Headliners (Available Now!)
This month, Sony has dropped five titles that are available to all PlayStation Plus members (Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers). You can add these to your library right now.
1. LEGO Horizon Adventures (PS5)
This is arguably the biggest surprise of the month. It feels like this game only just came out, and it’s already hopping onto the service just in time for the holidays.
If you love the world of Horizon Zero Dawn but want something a little more lighthearted (and significantly blockier), this is it. It retells Aloy’s journey with classic LEGO humor and charm. It’s also couch co-op, making it the perfect game to play with family or partners over the winter break.
2. Killing Floor 3 (PS5)
If LEGO is a bit too cheerful for you, switch gears immediately to Killing Floor 3. This is the ultimate “turn your brain off and shoot things with friends” game.
The Killing Floor series is legendary for its wave-based survival gameplay. You and your squad face off against increasingly terrifying waves of “Zeds” (don’t call them zombies) with ridiculously powerful weapons. It’s gory, chaotic, and incredibly fun in co-op.
3. The Outlast Trials (PS5, PS4)
December is usually for holiday cheer, but Sony decided to sprinkle in some abject terror. The Outlast Trials takes the pure survival horror of the previous games and turns it into a twisted multiplayer experience set during the Cold War. Good luck sleeping after a session of this.
4. Neon White (PS5, PS4)
This is the sleeper hit of the month. If you like speedrunning, first-person shooters, and anime aesthetics, Neon White is a must-play. It’s frantic, stylish, and demands “just one more try” as you attempt to shave milliseconds off your level times using soul-cards to attack foes or perform parkour moves.
5. Synduality Echo of Ada (PS5)
Rounding out the list is this PvPvE extraction shooter set in a dystopian future. You pilot a mech (CradleCoffin) alongside an AI partner (Magus) to gather resources while fighting alien creatures and other players. If you’re into the extraction genre but want more sci-fi mechanics, give this a download.
What About Extra and Premium?
Remember, the games listed above are the “monthly games” for the Essential tier.
If you are subscribed to PS Plus Extra or Premium, you have a second drop coming mid-month. We don’t have the official list for the Game Catalog or Classics refresh yet, but we expect Sony to announce those around next Wednesday, with the games going live the following Tuesday. Keep an eye on the blog for updates!
Final Verdict
December 2025 is a very strong month for the service. Getting a recent release like LEGO Horizon Adventures is a massive win for subscribers, and pairing it with high-quality multiplayer titles like Killing Floor 3 ensures there’s something for everyone to play over the holidays.
Go turn on your consoles and get downloading!
