Is Aion 2 Coming to the West? The Latest on a Global Beta

unnamed 1 3

The short answer is: Yes, but you’ll have to wait.

While Aion 2 is now live in Korea and Taiwan as of November 2025, NCSoft has confirmed that a global western release is planned for mid-to-late 2026.

Currently, there is no official sign-up page or confirmed date for a Global Beta test. The developers are focused on gathering data and feedback from the initial Asian launch to polish the game for a wider audience. This is a common strategy for Korean MMOs, as it allows them to address bugs, balance issues, and—most importantly—adjust monetization models before facing the scrutiny of the western market.

How to Stay Updated & Be Ready to Sign Up

Since there’s no active beta sign-up right now, the best thing you can do is keep a close watch on official channels so you’re the first to know when one is announced. Here is your action plan:

  1. Follow Official NCSoft West Channels: Keep an eye on their official website and social media (Twitter/X, YouTube) for announcements specifically targeting North America and Europe.
  2. Monitor Fan Communities: Subreddits like r/Aion2 and dedicated community Discords are often the first places to spot news about upcoming tests or western publishing deals.
  3. Watch for “Focus Group Test” (FGT) Announcements: Before a large-scale public beta, NCSoft often conducts smaller, confidential FGTs. News of these can sometimes leak, indicating that a wider beta is on the horizon.
  4. Be Patient (and Maybe Skeptical): The road from a Korean launch to a western release is often long and full of changes. Use this time to watch gameplay from the KR/TW servers, understand the class systems, and see how NCSoft handles the inevitable post-launch challenges.

We will update this blog the moment an official global beta sign-up link goes live!
