To tame a Spinosaurus, a large and powerful dinosaur in Ark: Survival Evolved, you’ll need to follow these steps:

    Preparation:

    • Gather the necessary resources: You’ll need a lot of narcotics, Tranq Arrows or Tranquilizer Darts, and a suitable weapon to knock out the Spinosaurus.
    • Craft a Taming Pen: Build a structure using fence foundations and walls to create a large enclosure. Make sure it is tall enough to prevent the Spinosaurus from escaping.
    • Locate and lure a Spinosaurus:
    • Spinosaurus typically spawn near large bodies of water, such as rivers or coastlines. Search these areas to find one.
    • Use a flyer or a fast mount to draw the Spinosaurus away from its group, preferably toward your prepared taming pen. Be careful not to attract multiple Spinosauruses, as they can be dangerous.

    Knocking out the Spinosaurus:

    • Once you have led the Spinosaurus to the taming pen, position yourself safely outside and start shooting it with Tranq Arrows or Tranquilizer Darts. Aim for its body or head.
    • Keep an eye on the Spinosaurus’ Torpor level, which is the top-right meter displayed when you look at it. You need to keep its Torpor high enough until it becomes unconscious.
    • It’s essential to monitor the Torpor level and administer narcotics to keep the Spinosaurus sedated during the taming process.

    Feeding and protecting the Spinosaurus:

    • Once the Spinosaurus is unconscious, you’ll need to gather suitable food for it. The preferred food for Spinosaurus is raw or cooked Prime Meat. Alternatively, you can use regular Meat, but it will take longer.
    • Place the food in the Spinosaurus’ inventory. The taming progress will increase as it consumes the food.
    • Keep the Spinosaurus safe from predators while it’s taming. Repair any damaged parts of the taming pen to prevent it from escaping or being attacked.

    Taming completion:

    • Continue feeding the Spinosaurus until the taming bar reaches 100%. The amount of food required will depend on the level of the Spinosaurus and the taming multiplier on the server you are playing.
    • Once the taming is complete, the Spinosaurus will be tamed and become your loyal companion.

Remember to be cautious when approaching and taming Spinosaurus’s, as they are formidable opponents and can deal significant damage. It’s recommended to have a tribe member or taming assist dinos to help with the process. Good luck!
